INTRODUCTION

The modifying effect of laughter
should not be disregarded or
scorned or frowned upon
Even if one laughs at scandal
Even if one laughs at shame
Whose name, you may ask
Whose shame
And the rest follows suit

But the vodka stays in
the bottom of the
Glass
Far away from the
detrimental effect of
ICE
CUBES!
Not to mention
LEMON!
SQUASH!
And laughing lips

Bored with the excite
Ment of it all he
Drains the glass

THE ENDLESS CHAIN OF BLANK DAYS. THIS IS IT, MY FRIEND. THIS IS IT.

But, as any coward will admit: This is it, but it´s not all there is. The statement has already gone with the wind. A dry sun low in the sky. Dusty streets. People with grey faces and bitterly cold handbags - never meeting, running, in tiny circles, smiling with cracked dried out lips, pointing their fingers to the sky, saying: This is not it. There is bound to be more. Let the music start.

But then nothing happens.

But then the music starts.

And all the people dance in the streets under the dusty sun. And they all point their fingers to the sky and they sing a dry dusty song. Clearly they have all turned crazy.

But not cowards.
